Today a quick rather slow 20 min walk My butt HURTS ya'll. DOMS is letting me know I worked my butt.
And no, no real DVDs close to CrossFit. I've tried to do CrossFit at home, I have a set up where I could do probably 90% of the WODs (workout of the day) but it's just not the same as when you are in a group, and the whole vibe is "we're dying but we're in it together" I mean, I was working out in my early 40s with kids as young as 16 and one woman in her early 60s. It was an experience and I do miss it from time to time.

I took a rest day yesterday. Will report back when/if I do anything tonight. They keep saying we’re going to end up with a tropical system here in a few days…

I like the easy going nature of the check in here but I’m technically a day ahead posting from Aus but behind in posting. Hoping I don’t get too tangled. I think I will need to put my day and /or dates for workouts at the start. 4th was a 20 min walk and extremely windy, so not very enjoyable. 5th I did a new to me Cathe STS Total Body Phase 4 I loved this one and will try a couple of the premixes soon I hope. Fatkat I too enjoy Cathe’s PHAs . Her new set looks intriguing and different. I love the colours and background. I will be reading reviews for sure. I hardly did Cathe’s workouts for a long time, KCM and too many other instructors to try but I’m rediscovering and enjoying. Seagreen - welcome to our check in! I’ve always wanted to go to Australia. Maybe one day… I have to admit I have all the Cathe dvds. I’ve probably only done a quarter of them so far. Again, maybe one day… 😆

Yesterday, I did a 30 min walk A little slower but I had the incline up a little more. Today, back and arms, plus a 20 min walk. Deadlifting heavy again felt great. 135lbs on the bar. I can't wait to get that back up over 180lbs but it will take a bit.

I’ve been nursing my hip injury with just walking and stretching. It seemed to flare up a bit, but then I did some calf work and it immediately improved. so, tonight I did the full TLM Instagram workout. I committed to doing these at least twice a week to record any changes. I know the method works so I’m excited to give it a go.
Rhbrand - glad your soreness is better. 180 lbs!! You’re very strong!

My one rep max for deadlifts is 240lbs. But that was a couple years ago. So I need to work to get back there. I would like to see if I could get it to 300lbs eventually, but who knows.

Thanks for the welcome to the check in fatkat. That is quite a lot of Cathe DVDs you have to get through. I never realised quite how prolific Cathe was with her production of DVDs until recently when I looked at her on site catalogue to find just1 DVD. Wow, what a collection!
6th was a 20 min walk and Scott Cole-Gentle Yoga Stretch 7th was new to me Cathe's Low Impact Series-AfterBurn 8th 40 min walk and Karen Voight- Pure and Simple Stretch

She’s still sleeping so am getting a little caught up here 🦋 I love Scott Cole’s Millennium Stretch and am wondering how you like his gentle stretch? I’m new to Scott’s practices and would like to try his other workouts if they’re as good. We are very happy that you are joining our check-ins 🙂

My workouts might be sporadic because we’re preparing for a hurricane.
Last night was Yee Yoga Flow for Beginners, Empowered Flow.

Yesterday it was a beautiful day so I drove to a nearby town and walked about 50 min on the walk/bike trail. I kind of wanted to go longer, but hubby was waiting at home ready to cook lunch. Someday I'm going to walk all the way around the small lake.

9/9 was the 31-minute Total Body Strength Training with Jessica. This afternoon was Yin Yogahhhh 45 Min Slow Down and Breathe. This wasn't one of my favorite yin practices. 9/10 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk + Pilates for Firm Abs. After a mostly sleepless night, I needed something that a brain-dead person could follow. Leslie did not disappoint even though this had a few new, Pilates inspired moves. I only did 2 miles. The evening stretch, Stick Yoga Basic, was from YouTube

Thanks Karla, I’m enjoying checking in here. Scott Cole’s Gentle Yoga Stretch is my favourite. I can even get DH to join me on this one. We both like Scott’s personality and humour and can both work at our own level. For us It’s a feel good session for 30 mins.
9th was KCM Cardio Pump, pump section. Gets a lot done in 30 minutes. 10th I did 3 walks, 40 mins, 30 mins an 15 mins. The weather enticed me with no wind and gently warm. Fatkat Hurricane sounds very worrying, stay safe! rhbrand, I think I would have trouble deciding on whether to finish the walk or get home if someone was going to cook for me. Nobody cooks for me, sigh….. Sounds like you will want get around the lake soon.
Today is the start of my week away, I may get a band workout in but definitely plenty of walking .

Today, chest, shoulders, abs and a 20 min walk.
Hubby does 99% of the cooking cause for years, while he was in the military I did 90% of everything while he was either deployed for months, or was just working on base. So now that he's retired he does the cooking cause I hate to cook
