Karla - your soup reminded me. Iβve got to attempt my pumpkin soup. I made it one time, threw random ingredients in, and my daughters said it was the best soup theyβve ever had. If only I could remember how I made it! π
Iβm drinking tons of cranberry juice. Even though itβs unsweetened, I still feel that itβs sugary. I think Iβve gained a few pounds since being sick. π

Ugh! Gaining weight while sick is so unfair! Cranberry juice is good for you. I tried to drink it, but it was too strong for me.
Yesterday was a big failure diet-wise. I accidently ordered the extra mini tacos, so 2 didn't fill me up. I didn't want to order 2 more because that was too much for me to eat. Unfortunately, you have to order 2 tacos at a time. So, I filled up on chips & salsa. Then I stopped on the way home and got an order of hash browns from What a Burger!
Today I had a meal replacement drink in-between meals. I don't know how people can drink those in place of a meal. I get too hangry!

Well, Iβve been good as good can be on carnivore diet. I checked my weight yesterday and itβs back to normal so thatβs good. Just a blip I suppose.
Instead of slamming water, Iβve found that itβs better to drink little sips. I also discovered that my carbonated water was not a good hydrator. Iβve been sticking to just filtered water.

Someone come slap the bad food out of my hand before it hits my mouth. Or better yet, slap my husband before he goes to the store and buys my favorite junk food for me cause "you've got PMS and I want to make you feel better" which sounds ok, but man, in the long run it makes me feel like SHIT.

My sisterβs husband does this to her. I think it genuinely comes from a good place. They want you happy. π when my husband does this, I have pretty good willpower and it gets ignored. Apple fritters were the last attempt. My weakness is Hagen Das vanilla bean ice cream. Now THAT Iβll eat buckets of. π Heβs starting to figure it out, too.

LOL! My husband has probably said the same thing about me. Every once in a while, he decides to give up soda and candy bars. He turns into a real cranky creature. So, I sneak out into my car, run to the store and get him candy bars or a soda. I prefer him as Dr Jekyll not Mr. Hyde. The transformation is amazing :-)

I did well today *until* my girls came home from work (Chinese restaurant) and brought me honey glazed pecans. Ugh, theyβre a huge weakness and I ate several handfuls. I need to learn how to make them.

Pecans are also my weakness. Thatβs why I planted a couple of pecan trees. The one in my front yard will probably produce maybe a dozen this year. Itβs still a young tree π³
Iβve gone through most of the goodies I got at nuts.com. Trying hard to resist the offers that they send. As Jack laLanne once said βA minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.β
Iβm still struggling with getting my portion size down and frying my food. But at least Iβm getting more cardio in with the Firm. Eventually, things will (hopefully) balance out.

He's 100% buying the junk to make me feel better/happy. Perimenopause has been a bit of a witch to me the last couple months and I think he just wishes I felt better over the "eh" feeling I've had for a bit.
I made some hard boiled eggs for breakfast this week. I have less cravings when I eat a higher protein breakfast, so I figure a couple eggs in the AM with my collagen coffee should do it.

Pitfalls for me are eating out, even if Iβm not the one eating out! Often, the kids will bring those darn yummy pecans. I totally get it because try to get my family to eat healthy, but they fight me and I give in and pick up the junk they want.

I made two fried quesadillas for dinner when one would have been enough. I'm working on it though. It's hard. My husband always brings home hash browns (he knows I love them)even though I've told him not to go to the extra trouble. I used to feel that I had to eat them -even though Iβm trying to lose weight and theyβre fattening. Now I just discreetly feed them to my dogs.

I passed up birthday cake!! My son turns 20 and quite honestly I didnβt even want any. π everyone else enjoyed it. I like chocolate, but not chocolate cake and that is what my son requested.

Iβve done fairly well the past two days, but I think thatβs because I need to go to the store and get groceries. π

I didnβt see this post earlier π’ I love chocolate, but if I have more than a tiny amount itβll trigger a wicked migraine. Your son did you a sweet favor. So much easier to put on weight than to take it off.

Iβve done fairly well the past two days, but I think thatβs because I need to go to the store and get groceries. π Well there arenβt much better ways of dieting than not having any food in the house π€£ππ€£ I get into trouble if I have snack foods in the house. I meant to put in a Walmart online pickup order, but didnβt get around to it this week. I hate shopping on the weekends so am making do. I mainly need some fresh veggies and TV dinners. I also did well yesterday because I used a smaller bowl to help control portion size. I love my 9β pasta bowls though. Thereβs something comforting about the size and shape of them. I managed to keep my calories down by eating a prepackaged sofrito meal with rice and beans (I added some frozen vegetables which I fried) and a Tom Kha soup (added potatoes and veggies that werenβt fried) for dinner. Usually I would fry everything I added to my meals, so only frying one of them is progress.
