Thought Iโd get us started for the month.
Iโm trying to do a Firm workout theme this month starting out with the easier ones and then moving to classics. Tonight was Firm Prime Power Lower Body Shaping. ๐ That last illness I had really knocked the wind out of my sails.

Thank you for starting the check-in I've been on a Firm buying/trading spree lately. I had traded or given away many of my Firm videos and could no longer use my VHS tapes since the player stopped working. Like a true vidiot, I've been spending more than I can afford to reacquire the old ones and get some new ones. I'm enjoying these workouts immensely and am slimming down. So happy to have started back with them. Today was KickButt Crunch Time led by Tamela. This was my first time doing this workout. Tamela did a good job with cueing. I modified by not doing any ๏ผonly a little amount๏ผ high impact, and also not using a tall step for step-ups.

I was talking to my sister last night and sheโs been trying to acquire some of the Firm dvds that she is missing as well. I have most of them, but what I donโt have on dvd I have on vhs and my VHS player still works.
Iโm having a lot of later life issues with aging family members and big moves from out of state to closer to where we are that are upcoming. Lots of stress, so I feel that going with workouts Iโm familiar with will help in not taxing my brain too much and will bring some much needed consistency.
Iโll update when I do tonightโs workout. I fly by the seat of my pants, no set rotation, so I have no idea what Iโll pick tonight. โบ๏ธ

Firm Vol 6 was tonight! I picked this one because it doesnโt have impact or push-ups. I modified with my 10 lb body bar rather than my 20.

Ok, I've had a hell of a month so far. WAY to much time sitting in cars, once with my sister taking a niece from Iowa to North Dakota then back again in 2 days, then to our Nascar weekend at Kansas Speedway, which also includes way to much sitting, and snacking on crap food.
I've not worked out at all this month cause well, hard to workout in a car for 12+ hours LOL. But this month I'm going to focus on the Firm, walking and toss in a little Cathe and Jari Love to mix it up. Today just a 30 min walk. I'm tired, bloated, my stomach is upset thanks to way to many days eating food that's not really food, but resembles food from the convenience store.

Ok, I've had a hell of a month so far. WAY to much time sitting in cars, once with my sister taking a niece from Iowa to North Dakota then back again in 2 days, then to our Nascar weekend at Kansas Speedway, which also includes way to much sitting, and snacking on crap food. I've not worked out at all this month cause well, hard to workout in a car for 12+ hours LOL. This morning was FitPrime Lower Body Burn with Melissa Grill. No modifications for this enjoyable, quirky workout. I liked the spinal work, and the dowel left my shoulders feeling the love, lol. The time passed quickly and didn't leave me feeling drained afterwards.
I planted the last of my plants today, which were 2 butterfly bushes and a raspberry bush. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will do okay in this Florida heat and humidity.

No workout today. Iโm trying to slowly work into things and Iโm sore. Will pick back up tomorrow. ๐
Karla - yummy raspberries! Squirrels keep getting my newly planted boysenberry bushes. My butterfly bush does very well here.
Iโve eaten chips that were supposedly healthy, but theyโve left me bloated. When I stray too far from what I know works, I tend to pay for it. Stomach is not happy.

I was exhausted today and almost didn't exercise. In the past, I would have picked Margaret Richard's Strong & Limber, plopped myself down on the floor and did a no dread workout that didn't burn any calories and didn't really energize me either. Since I've seen the light (halleluiah๏ผ๏ผ I made myself pick up a Firm workout. Admittedly, it was one of the shortest and easiest Firms. A pink Total Body Toner suitable for beginners which was instructed by Allie. It was my first time doing this workout. It actually refreshed and energized me. I ended up doing a short yin yoga by Travis. It helped my knee pain go away. It was very weird pain. I didn't feel any pain unless I touched beneath the knee cap.

Tonight was FitPrime and Kickbutt Parts: 6 Day Trainer - 6 Day Slam. I did the Tough Cardio Steam, Week 1. I figure 20 minutes was better than nothing which Iโd already done the last two days. Karla, I might do yoga tomorrow morning.

Karla, I might do yoga tomorrow morning. Best to do what feels right to you -especially since you were recently sick. I hope that you're not overdoing it! I need to start doing more yoga too. The two practices I did this week have helped me with knee pain. Today was Firm Parts 3-IN-1 Mix Bootcamp. This was my first time doing this workout and I choose #2 based on the reviews. I used 3-8lb weights, only did one set of the tall step without weights. I used the ๏ผblue๏ผ smaller step for the second set. Doing it this way makes it suitable for beginners. I felt like I still got in a good workout and felt refreshed afterwards. It's a short workout between 30-40 minutes or so.

So I bailed on the yoga, but I managed a new-to-me workout, Firm Express Cycle 1 Sculpt. At 20 minutes and no heavy equipment to drag out, it was perfect for tonight.
I love the Bootcamp dvd, both workouts on it. ๐

So I SUCK at check-ins LOL. Not been working out much this week. But I did pick up some new walking shoes, 2 pair cause I couldn't decide between two pair, so I'll have a new pair of Brooks for my treadmill and a new pair of New Balance for outdoor walking, if it would ever quit raining and dry out enough for me to walk outside.
I was going to workout today. But well, we babysit out 2 oldest grandkids, 4 and 2 years old. Had them outside for about an hour after lunch. We splashed in muddy puddles, fed my horses treats and "rode them" they sit on the horses for a few min, flew a kite, pet our outside barn cats, and when it was time to go in, the 4 year old was ready to have a snack and watch Bluey, while the 2 year old, NOPE. Tweaked my back a bit picking her up, her boot she managed to kick out, and lug them both in the house while Ellie had a 2 year old fit. And my period started today. I"m so over having periods. I'm ready for full on menopause. Anyway, I sat after the girls went home, read a chunk of a new book, and did nothing. Maybe tomorrow I'll break in my new walking shoes or pick out a Firm to do.
