So I SUCK at check-ins LOL. Not been working out much this week. But I did pick up some new walking shoes, 2 pair cause I couldn't decide between two pair, so I'll have a new pair of Brooks for my treadmill and a new pair of New Balance for outdoor walking, if it would ever quit raining and dry out enough for me to walk outside. I was going to workout today. But well, we babysit out 2 oldest grandkids, 4 and 2 years old. Had them outside for about an hour after lunch. We splashed in muddy puddles, fed my horses treats and "rode them" they sit on the horses for a few min, flew a kite, pet our outside barn cats, and when it was time to go in, the 4 year old was ready to have a snack and watch Bluey, while the 2 year old, NOPE. Tweaked my back a bit picking her up, her boot she managed to kick out, and lug them both in the house while Ellie had a 2 year old fit. And my period started today. I"m so over having periods. I'm ready for full on menopause. Anyway, I sat after the girls went home, read a chunk of a new book, and did nothing. Maybe tomorrow I'll break in my new walking shoes or pick out a Firm to do. I usually donβt post much in check ins to be honest. Itβs more of a drive-by post when I do. Hope you enjoy the shoes and the grandkids! Exercise will be there afterwards. I did Yee Yoga Conditioning for Life this evening. This is only available via Amazon streaming or VHS. Iβm not sure why it never made it to dvd because I really liked it. I also organized my extensive dvd collection today. Now that itβs organized, it hides my addiction better. π

Sounds like a mostly perfect day with an unpleasant ending. Watching grandbabies is a workout. I don't think I could handle little ones for too long even if they are precious. I got in a 1/2-hour workout with Libby in Lower Body Sculpt 2. I had a lot of gardening to get done so wanted something short and easy. Tonight, my garbage disposal sprung a leak making a huge mess all over the cabinet and floor. At least I got my sink cabinet cleaned. Stuff had been accumulating there for ages.

Today another grandkid filled day. Our 9 month old granddaugher, by birthday buddy, born on my 53rd birthday, got to spend the day with us while mommy got a mani/pedi and her hair cut. Oh, and went to lunch with her sister, our oldest child, who is all our beautician.
It was beautiful out! Took Hazel, the baby, out for a short but nice walk, introduced her to out horses, she got to "ride" Butch, our old man gelding who is just wonderful for kids to sit on. He'll just stand like a statue. The older 2 came over with daddy to play with their cousin "Baby Hazel" and we all spend a couple hours outside swinging on the swingset, petting horses, feeding them treats, "riding" Butch and Jazmine, my mare who is almost as good as Butch when the girls sit on her. Oh we also flew a kite too.
No official workout, but I got quite a few steps in, and got fresh air and sunshine. It was so nice.

The hamstring curls were hurting my knee, so I did Kevin Love's Deep Stretch and Restore 20-min. practice. Tonight, I did Paul Grilley's Yin Yoga for the Spine as it also helps with knee pain. Now I'm off to feed my pups!

Yesterday was Paul Grilley's Yin Yoga for the hips. Today was Upper Body Sculpt BSS with Jenn Carmen followed by Adrienne Reed's Yoga for the Hips & tonight it was her backbends practice. Hoping all this yoga will get my knee issue corrected.

I literally did NOTHING on Monday It rained, again, my husband took an impromptu trip to Nebraska, we live in Iowa to visit a friend who has had quite a few health issues and I literally sat around and read 2 books. Tue and some today, I did some housecleaning I tend to put off. Moving the table to vacuum under it, moving the grandkids stuff to vacuum where the big fern plant always sheds leaves, steam clean where apple juice always seems to leak out of the no leak sippy cups. I'll get back to my workouts tomorrow cause I was busy the last couple days.

I think Cathe also has a housecleaning max workout ππ½ as Iβve seen it in other check-ins π Today was Vol.2 in the morning. I did Essentrics Ultimate Stretch relaxation/pain relief workout in the evening. It was a good stretching sessionπ¦.

Nah, I didn't need the rest, I'm just lazy. And a bookworm. I will happily sit all day, and half the night, to read an entire series of books if given the chance LOL.
But today, I got up, did a 30 min walk, a nice amount of stretching cause sitting and reading does make me tight, and some abs.

For me, today it was Firm Get Chislβd. Iβm trying to work through my pink Firms.

Yesterday was Lastics with Donna Flagg. It's a wonderful stretching workout.
Today was Classical Stretch: knees & calf οΌfrom Season 14οΌ in the morning and Firm Pump in the afternoon. I like the step-ups in this workout because they're slow. I used the tall step and an 8lb weight. I don't normally use weights on the tall step.

This morning was Yoga for Runners: Intermediate Program with Christine Felstead
It was my first time doing the practice. It's excellent. My quads are feeling the love and will probably be a little sore tomorrow. Christine gives excellent form pointers on hip and knee alignment. I think that's why I felt the poses so much more today. I've been doing yoga for years, and this might be the first time that I had really good form.

Karla - I love Lastics! I do wish sheβd put her intermediate workout on dvd. I should do those more often.
Last night I did Firm Hard Core Fusion. Iβm awfully tired tonight so Iβm not sure what Iβll pick.
update: I tried Work Your Belly, Butt, and Thighs, Stephanie Huckabee. I did the beginner workout and it was just what I needed.
