I havenโt kept up with posting as well. I started back to work last week. I work part time at a school. I walk and stand for three hours watching the kids on the playground and recess. This is my main cardio when school is in session. Being in Phoenix, the heat has been brutal lately. Last week wasnโt as bad, highs were under 110. But yesterday and today were 111 and 112. We had an extreme heat schedule today thankfully, recess for the kids was 10 minutes instead of 20. So I was outside for an hour instead of my usual two. We have rain tonight, so tomorrow is down to 100 thankfully. Having said all that, Iโve been too tired to exercise! Once itโs cooler, Iโll be working out more. The heat has been brutal here too. I lost a young apple tree today. Other trees and plants are just hanging on. The heat wears me out!
Yesterday was Margaret Richard's Strong & Limber
Today was Audrey Krafft's Spinal Stretch & Release I had severe back pain to where it hurt to even walk. This stretch helped a lot.[/font][/b]

8/18 - Work cardio per the usual. I was so tired after work, I took an hour and a half nap on the couch! I was snoring too, lol. Then I decided to do something gentle. I saw this channel in VF GD about modifications for knees in barre workouts. The channel is Fitness with Tullamore Live. I started slow, felt better, and worked my way up. I guess I went backwards! I did Yoga for Anxiety, Non Workout Workout, and Low Impact Cardio Workout. I also did my usual walking at work, although I sit more when it's so hot.
8/19 - Yesterday I did house cleaning, then some shopping at Goodwill, so walking for about two hours. I noticed my left knee was sore again, so I did AskDoctor Jo 10 Best Knee Pain Exercises. This did help relieve the soreness in my knee. I've noticed my knee tends to get sore when I walk in my sandals for long periods. It doesn't bother me at work when wearing my tennis shoes. I think I need to pay more attention to how I walk.
8/20 - Today I did another Tullamore Alive workout called Easy 20 Minute Total Body Workout. I didnโt find it too easy, there was some challenge. It seemed sort of barre focused. I enjoyed it and liked the moves. She stopped making workouts after this one, which was done in December 2021. I wish sheโd make some more, but she wasnโt making anything from you tube and it is a time commitment. Iโm guessing she was making workouts during covid, but eventually went back to in person classes.
Karla, I'm sorry to hear about your back. I'm glad the stretch helped. It cooled off some yesterday, we have cloudy weather and a high of 96. However, no rain yet.
Helen, I'm doing two forums, and I tend to forget! I hope your recover from your cold soon.

Sherry, This heat is exhausting. I need to water my plants, but just can't face the heat tonight. I will try again in the morning.

Today was Barre3 Total Body Lift Workout with Sadie Lincoln.

Hey Karla! Thanks for the well wishes & I must agree with you about my Alice - she makes passers-by smile all the time when we're out walking. I'm BACK!! Been jumping again since Monday, thanks to my gym buddy for getting me moving again. As for the heat - I know it'll be rugged when summer hits as my gym is at the top of the house with no A/C - if it's hideous, I'll just have added incentive to shift to morning workouts. EGAD! Did I just SAY that?!?!
