I'm glad that I don't use garlic cloves in cooking anymore since China uses human sewage and bleach on them. I would be wary of taking garlic supplements produced in China. Chines Garlic is a Public Health Concern

Gross! I don't use garlic often but will definitely make sure I don't purchase any garlic or garlic containing products from China.

I had to do a lot of searching to find garlic powder that was not from China or unknown. I've been using Kirkland's and like it. Are there any other brands that you recommend?

I used to love garlic and never had problems with it. However, in recent years, I've started having an adverse reaction to eating it, so I don't anymore. I don't even take garlic supplements which are supposed to be good for you.

I checked the link and decided to google, as politicians are frequently ignorant about science. Usually they are furthering a political agenda. I found this link saying the bleach is a myth and there are many misconceptions. garlics.com/blog/is-garlic-from-china-safe-truth-behind-misconceptions/βSome misconceptions about China garlic include bulb bleaching, the use of toxic pesticides, and methyl bromide. There is no truth behind these rumors. A type of garlic is so white that it is sometimes confused with bleaching. Moreover, methyl bromide and toxic chemicals are prohibited in China.β Obviously, Iβm no food scientist. I follow Food Science Babe on IG. Sheβs a food scientist with a wealth of info. Thereβs a lot of fear marketing on the internet, fear sells. Never trust the info from an influencer who is selling something, or a politician who wants to be re-elected lol. Thank you for that reminder! I will research it further. It was the human waste being used as fertilizer that really disturbed me.

I found another article about garlic: Why Chinese Garlic is Bad The link you provided is from a garlic wholesaler. They make their money off selling garlic to retailers and even admit China uses human waste. Yuck! I don't trust China for many reasons. Mainly because the government treats their people horribly, still uses slave labor & they have yearly dog festivals in which dogs are cooked and eaten. Garlic didn't bother me in the past. Nowadays when I eat garlic, I get fever blisters. I don't know if it's from Chinese garlic or something else. I'll just pass on the Chinese garlic οΌand allοΌ to be safe.
