I often find that magnesium (and Iβve tried different types and brands) tends to make me nauseous. Does anyone else find this as well or is it just me? I know itβs supposed to help ward off muscle cramps at night post menopause, so thatβs why I try to take it.

I've never had that issue, regardless of the type of magnesium I take. Sounds like you may be getting too much? If you eat a lot of magnesium rich foods, perhaps you don't need to supplement. Have you ever gotten bloodwork to find out what your levels are? www.health.com/too-much-magnesium-8600543

Dede makes some good points that you might want to check out. Also, there are different types of magnesium, different qualities and different dosages. I take Magnesium Glycinate after a meal and I've never had any issues. It's the best magnesium that I have found. Nested Naturals often has BOGOs on their products, so I stock up then. Nested Naturals You can read more about their magnesium in the link.

Be careful of magnesium oxide supplements. Mg glycinate and citrate are more bio-available and easier on the stomach.
However, if those are still troublesome, there are magnesium oils you apply topically. Your body absorbs it through the skin. Most people rub it on the soles of their feet before bed.

I do much better with an electrolyte complex rather than just magnesium, but can still have slight nausea.

I do try to take it at night to avoid getting nighttime cramps, but if I donβt fall asleep quickly enough thereβs the nausea.

Oh, thatβs a great idea. My local health store should have something like that. They have wonderful stuff.

I love Dr. Berg! My electrolyte complex is actually his brand!
