Apparently, I do. If I have an instructor I like, I want all of their workouts. I cannot break up a workout dvd either. If I want to do 30 minutes, for example, I will pick a workout that is 30 minutes. I simply cannot choose an hour workout because I feel compelled to complete it. Iβm sure this says something about me. Rule follower, too, maybe?

I would say I am 90% like this. So I guess not completely (no pun intended).
For the most part, I will feel compelled to complete a workout or rotation/program no matter what. Like 10 years ago when I broke my foot doing Cathe's Hiit 30/30 and I only had 4 more exercises left so I finished it on a broken foot. Probably not my smartest move.
In the last couple of years, I have really been trying to listen more to my body so I have had sessions I quit early because I just don't have it in me that day.

I'm definitely like that when it comes to the time issue. I have to complete the entire session, and pick my practices accordingly.

I wish I was that person who says, no, not happening. Itβs easier to back off in yoga because of the obvious physical limitations, but a workout? If I were to pop in a Cathe dvd from her earlier days, although I might alter the step height or no step, lighten the weights, Iβd do the whole thing. I even have trouble with premixes because I want to do the whole workout as originally intended. The only time Iβve stopped mid stream in a workout was because I was getting sick and didnβt realize it. I have another odd thing where when Iβm getting sick Iβll have this odd burst of energy to do stuff around the house. Iβll feel like starting a workout and then end up completely shaking and weak halfway through. Next day, Iβm sick as I can be.

Can say I used to have this issue. No more. It's my workout and I do what I want. I may do the whole thing, do add-ons, do the parts I like, use the chapter skip button, combine chapters from different workouts, etc. So free-ing.

Same here π and it is a good thing to not feel like you have to do things a certain way. It took me years to get over feeling like I have to do the whole workout just like the instructor.
