I wanted to give an update on my use of basil seeds. As stated previously, I have an extremely sensitive digestive tract where even a tiny excess of many things can lead to bloating and/or constipation. I started out taking 1t of basil seeds a day for one week and when I didn't have any negative side effects, increased it to 2t. I am happy to say that not only does my body seem to tolerate it, but it has helped with bowel regularity. I'll increase my intake to 1T next week, which is the usual amount most people start out with, and let you know how my body reacts.
