I'm trying to ramp up my quest for fitness. Been walking quite a bit, and now that I've dropped 23-24lbs I have thought about adding in some running intervals.
Well, along with getting new crosstrainers, I'll be needing new running shoes soon. Looked online for my favorite running shoes, and alas, Hoka doesn't seem to make Elevon shoes anymore. I was already a little upset Hoka quit making the Tivra, which I wore do to my crosstraining but now they don't have the Elevon shoes either.
UGH. Brooks are good, and I can always wear them to start running, but those Hoka Elevon were just great on my feet.

I agree! Itβs almost as if they decide to not meet the popular demand, right?
I loved the old yoga pants from Old Navy. They lasted forever and were so soft, breathable. They changed to an awful fabric and Iβve never been back.

I'm going to do some shopping early in March and maybe I'll just hit up a shoe store and try on a couple pair of running shoes from brands other than Brooks and Hoka. I wore both a lot for work, and back in the day when I was run/walking alot. Maybe my feet would appreciate a different brand of shoe. That and I still wear Brooks a lot for my general day to day.
And my word how hard is it for Hoka to keep 2 styles of shoe, both I know were fairly popular, around? Or make more wide width shoes.

What also is upsetting is if you like a shoe and then the next year it is the same shoe but different number and the feel of the shoe is totally different. I really loved HOKA Clifton 8 and the next year it was Clifton 9 and it was totally different. I didn't like it at all. I haven't found another HOKA that I like. I went to Brooks Ghost and it felt great bought another pair and again didn't fit as well. I have bought a couple Saucony and they seem to fit well. I need good cushion for walking. I don't run anymore as it irritates my back and knees.
I also don't know why companies think they have to change up the style of a shoe all the time.
